The Children’s Advocacy Center of SW Florida (CAC) is a busy non-profit agency located in Fort Myers serving Lee, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades Counties. At CAC, we offer abuse determination services for children as well as therapeutic counseling, parenting education and prevention programs.

CAC is seeking a qualified full time Intake Coordinator/Office Support Staff in the Prevention Program. This position coordinates services for the Prevention Program, primarily with parents. Candidate will prepare correspondence, process and screen referrals, compile and manage reports, schedule intake appointments, answer phones, data entry, operate office equipment, process forms & documents, and other such general clerical duties according to established procedures.

Performance expectations include the following:
  • Process referrals during business hours from Case Management organizations, Self-Referrals, and other referral sources.
  • Obtain all necessary information and complete referral form.
  • Contact families by phone and email in order to explain the Parenting Program intake process and obtain consent for treatment.
  • Screen referrals for eligibility based on contractual requirements.
  • Make referrals to appropriate services as needed
  • Keep accurate documentation of all referrals received including an updated referral log.
  • Schedule intake appointments using Microsoft Office Outlook and SharePoint calendars.
  • Notify clients of dates of intake appointments and schedule ongoing parenting classes.
  • Send reminders for upcoming appointments.
  • Keep accurate records of classes and intakes for monthly billing reports
  • Keep and update ongoing daily and weekly class schedules
  • Meet with clients to provide pre and post testing for clients.
  • Update clients’ case managers regarding client progress through the parenting program.
  • Enter data into different database systems.
  • Assist with required statistical data collection and monthly reports.
  • Will assist with front desk/reception and phone coverage on an as needed basis.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

Performance expectations include the following, with other duties as assigned:
  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. History of file and record management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers, especially in operating Microsoft Excel.
